Zi Zai Vegetarian (Yishun) ...

Located  at Blk 236 in the Heartland of Yishun (Yishun Ring Road), is a newly vegetarian eatery known as Zi Zai Vegetarian replacing Cai Gen Xiang (closed) serving local Chinese vegetarian food.

Do not expect a large menu here - it comprises some normal Zi Char dishes (vegetarian version with mock meat), Soup, Noodles and Set Meal pricing from $2.5 to $12. If you don't really fancy mock meat and looking for something unique, the choices are very limited. However, it is good news for Vegetarians living around Yishun Ring Road.

 Fried Mee Sua @ $4

I ordered their Fried Mee Sua @ $4 (signature noodle dish) which I was told is not commonly found elsewhere and it required skill in whipping up it. It is tasty and fried with egg (I forgotten to tell them to omit egg), bean sprout, few mock pork and fishball slices, few cube of firm tofu and chye sim.

Cereal Abalone Mushroom @ $6

I had a very delicious vegetarian cereal prawn using vegetarian noodle prawn whipped up by Gallery by The Straits at the Yacht Club. And I thought that Zi Zai Vegetarian Cereal Prawn which is using mock prawn could be vegetarian noodle prawn but it was not. So, I ordered Cereal Abalone Mushroom @ $6.

The boss was rather shocked that I did not know about Zi Zai Vegetarian in Aljunied.  With so many vegetarian eateries around, it is not surprising anyway.

Where: Blk 236 Yishun Ring Road #01-1000.
