A New and Awesome Vegetarian Restaurant @ Lavender Food Square!

YES! this is a new Vegetarian Restaurant - Yuan Su Vegetarian Restaurant, at Lavender Food Square and it is just 2 weeks old! We chanced upon this newbie when on our way to Kwan Yin Chan Lin Zen Meditation Centre at 205c Lavender Street.

It was quite a surprise to be able to taste restaurant standard vegetarian food at hawker centre price. What a discovery but we need quick meal, so we could only pick the fastest and easier to cook dish - Yang Zhou Fried Rice @ S$3.5, so  we can quickly eat and go as we were running late again.

I must say that the Yang Zhou Fried Rice is done very well and yet not oily. It comes with some mock char siew, mixed vegetables, mushroom and bean sprout, with some mock floss too.  Yummy!

I will be back again for more other dishes. What caught my attention is they have a well presented menu and good selection of vegetarian dishes or noodles that is at Zi Char price range! Shark Fin Soup starting from S$6 , I must try on my next trip. Review more after my next trip, coming soon ...

If you wonder where Lavender Food Square is, it is in Jalan Besar and behind Eminent Plaza along Bendemeer Road.

Where: Yuan Su Vegetarian Restaurant. 380 Jalan Besar, Stall No.01-34 Lavender Food Square Singapore 209000. Tel 62972848.

Hi Crystal, I went there for dinner just now and ordered veg fish meehoon soup and pineapple rice. I found that the meehoon soup was oily (due to fried veg fish slices) and salty while the pineapple rice was too bland. Not really worth the $4 and $5 pricing each. I would prefer the one stall inside the kopi tiam at Rochor Centre facing Fu Lu Shou complex.

Hi Laura

Thanks for your comment. So far, I haven't tasted their Veg fish Meehoon Soup and Pineapple Fried Rice. Maybe, I will give these dishes amiss if I go next time.

Their Claypot Fish Curry and Shark Fin Soup where I lasted tasted was good.

Pineapple Fried Rice, I like the one at VegSoGood near Raffles MRT which is only $4 and quite a big portion.

Cheers :)

Hi Laura

Good question. Why not? :) If I should be there, I will be there.

There is no right and no wrong. It is just the perceptions of your and mine are just different. And it does not have to be the same, because all the causes and conditions will never be the same.

Have a nice week :)

Cheers :)
