Cheap & Tasty Vegetarian Food in a Coffeeshop near Marsiling MRT ...

I came to know about this eatery after reading about the food review - My Papers dated 28 April 2009 (Click here for the review - 2009 森品堂:健康素食 ).

It is a vegetarian stall in a clean and neat Coffeeshop very near to Marsiling MRT offering multi-racial local fare in vegetarian version and economical rice at a very reasonable price from $2.50.

Wonton Mee @ $2.80 (non-spicy, char siew replaced with more crispy deep-fried wontons)

The Friendly boss and staff were willingly to accommodate our requests.  For the wonton mee, we requested not to have mock char siew and to replace with wonton (they gave quite a lot) which was real crispy and delicious. The non-spicy version wonton was with tomato sauce and the noodle has a 'QQ' feel. The blanched Chye Sim was hidden underneath the noodle, so for the presentation wise, was not that appealing. It  was topped with some crispy square beancurd skin and it was only $2.80.

Fried  Carrot Cake @ $2.50

The fried carrot cake @ $2.50 (white or black) and I forgotten to ask them to omit egg! It was flavourful and not oily.

There have Fried Mee Sau, Yee Mee, Mee Rebus, Lotong, Porridge, Fried Rice and a long list which I can remember now.

Where: Vegetarian Food. Blk 166 Woodlands St 13 #01-1553. Singapore 730166.

I've tried this stall too! yummy! I love the crispy noodles which I was told is a very popular choice. Their beehoon and mixed veg rice is very nice too! and my favourite dish is the mutton curry!! Yummy!!
