Daily vegetarian meals were prepared by Michelle (75yo, hire cook) for 60 retreatants and some others. Within the vicinity in the forest, there is no eateries or shops, bus or cab for hailing. No UberEat or Deliveroo!
Able to have a good breakfast and a hot bowl of porridge with traditional condiments in the cold morning, was simply wonderful. By adding gratitude and mindfulness, even a simply DIY toasted bread with jam is simply delicious. In here, I cultivated appreciating even little things in life and feel peace and happiness.
Breakfast buffet menu: Porridge/Noodle, Cereal, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Milk & Juice, assorted fresh Fruits and Toast with assorted jam, honey and butter. Hot beverage: Coffee, Tea, Milo etc.
